How to play Hextris
Tetris, spun 60 degrees
Hextris (2014) asks: what if the falling blocks landed on a rotating hexagon? Colored blocks descend toward a spinning hexagon's sides; you rotate the hex to stack matching colors, and three-plus adjacent same-color blocks clear. It's Tetris's dizzy cousin — hypnotic, fast, and deceptively strategic.
How to play
- Left/right arrow keys (or tap screen sides) rotate the hexagon.
- Match 3+ same-colored blocks adjacent to each other to clear them and score.
- Speed rises with score — blocks fall faster and the game tightens. If blocks stack past the hexagon's edges, it's over.
Strategy
Resist the temptation to clear every match instantly — setting up double and triple clears with one rotation scores far more. And keep an eye on which incoming color is next: rotation decisions should be made before the block lands, not after.
